JobsFirst currently partners with Local Drivers in three areas: New York City, Southern Nevada, and Northeastern Pennsylvania. Each Local Driver coordinates work, education, and community systems around shared goals for young adults. Every site strengthens the national network.
JobsFirst NYC designs and incubates solutions across the five boroughs, where more than 110,589 16- to 24-year-olds are out of school and out of work. As the longest-running Local Driver, JobsFirst NYC generates practice that informs every city and region in the network.
JobsFirst Southern Nevada drives cross-sector alignment among workforce, education, and community systems in a region where more than 42,000 young adults are out of school and out of work. One in eight Gen Z and Millennial residents face an affordability crisis. This Local Driver builds the infrastructure to change that.
JobsFirst NEPA aligns partners across four counties, where more than 12,000 young adults are out of school and out of work and the average lifetime earnings loss per young adult is $337,000. This Northeastern Pennsylvania-based Local Driver builds coordinated pathways that strengthen the regional economy.
JobsFirst assessed 3,200 counties nationwide to identify regions ready to align work, education, and community systems. Readiness depends on local commitment, existing partnerships, and the need to build sustainable infrastructure for coordinated action.
