A funder collaborative is a locally based, pooled investment vehicle that aligns local and national investors around shared goals for a specific city or region. JobsFirst doesn’t own or operate these collaboratives; it convenes and supports one alongside every Local Driver, creating the conditions for sustained, coordinated progress toward economic mobility for young adults.

A Local Driver is a neutral, trusted workforce intermediary that coordinates work, education, and community systems in partnership with a local workforce funder collaborative around shared goals for young adults.

Partnership as a Local Driver or investor in a local funder collaborative requires a commitment to systems-level work: aligning partners, sharing data, and working within a shared framework. It also requires a long-term orientation. Systems change does not happen in a single funding cycle.

Local Drivers and funder collaborative partners gain a proven framework, practical coordination tools, sustained support across every phase, and access to practitioner-driven learning from cities and regions. Your community’s insight becomes part of a national economic mobility movement by design.
